The hiatus has been broken! Dave Matthews Band recently announced that they would be hosting a summer DMB music festival tour in four states! Each DMB summer tour date will get three nights of DMB live – so much for our favorite band taking a break, but who cares when DMB Music Festival tickets are on sale. Now that the DMB tour is over and Dave Matthews and the crew are taking a break for a full year – what summer tours can we really look forward to? In addition to the month-long DMB tour, Dave Matthews, sans his crew, and multi-instrumentalist Tim Reynolds will perform at the new 1st Band Center in Colorado on Dec 9th and at the Theatre for the Performing Arts at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino in Las Vegas on December 10 and 11. DMB’s seventh studio album Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King is set to be released on June 2, 2009- far into the Dave Matthews Band tour schedule. This will be their first release since LeRoi More’s death and with Jeff Coffin who has taken LeiRoi Moore’s role in the band.
